Scoular Names Director of Occupational Safety

The Scoular Company names Derek Farmer as Director of Occupational Safety, effective March 4. Farmer will office in Scoular’s office in Overland Park, KS, reporting to Vice President Glen Hofbauer.

Farmer most recently served as the Environmental Health Safety & Security Manager for engineering firm Arconic in Washington, MO.

In addition to his experience at Arconic, Farmer held safety-related positions with a number of firms, including Lansing Trade Group and Cargill for which he was responsible for overseeing the safety of several grain elevator and processing operations. Farmer holds a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and is working toward an MBA from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
