Landus Co-op to Host Women in Ag Event

"Ventures: Connections & Conversations in Ag" will be held March 22-23 in Iowa

Landus Cooperative invites its female members and customers to participate in the company’s second women in agriculture event, “Ventures: Connections & Conversations in Ag” March 22-23, 2019.

Registration is available online atlanduscooperative.com.

Landus Cooperative customers may register at a discounted rate.

The two-day event will offer actionable insights, on-farm tools, and opportunities to network with other women in agriculture and industry experts while getting better acquainted with the business resources available to them. Non-members and industry partners are also welcome to attend.

Workshop participants can select from a variety of breakout sessions including

  • Ag loans 101
  • Beginner and advanced grain marketing seminars
  • Spring agronomy decision-making
  • Mental health resources available during a tough farm economy

Attendees will also hear first-hand from a panel of female farmers taking on leadership roles both on and off the farm.

A special feature on this year’s agenda is a behind-the-scenes tour of the Better Homes and Garden Test Kitchen as an optional pre-conference event.

“Our goal with Ventures is that we can help empower farming women with a toolbox of educational resources, and also connect them to other women navigating agriculture and sharing their own stories of challenge and success,” explained Janette Smith, Ventures co-chair and the company’s senior grain marketing advisor who has more than 25 years of experience. “Landus Cooperative is proud to bring together our own team of experts along with our industry partners for the second year to work with Iowa women seeking education, inspiration and on-farm support.”
