Man failed to lower truck's boom, which caught power lines and pulled lights down
The driver of a grain truck that pulled down power lines, causing a widespread power outage in Somerset County, MD, on Wednesday night, has been charged in the incident, according to Maryland State Police.
Delmarva Now报道称,迈克尔B. Bowen has been charged with failure to assure safe operating condition of a motor vehicle prior to driving, police said.
Bowen was driving a truck owned by Mountaire Farms, a chicken producer with headquarters in Millsboro, DE, when he exited the company’s feed mill with the truck’s boom in the up position, according to state police.
