Old crop soybeans stored in all positions on Sept. 1 totaled 438 million bushels
The 2017 average soybean yield just grew by 0.2 bushels per acre after the USDA analyzed the end-of-marketing-year stocks, according to a report atAgriNews.
Based on year-end stock estimates, disappearance data for exports and crushings, and farm program administrative data, the USDA revised 2017 soybean production up by 19.1 million bushels, bumping the national yield average to 49.3 bushels per acre.
The USDA estimated U.S. old crop soybeans stored in all positions on Sept. 1 totaled 438 million bushels, up 45% from Sept. 1, 2017.
