Thresher facility in Pocatello, ID, almost evacuated before the cause found
The staff at Idaho State Journal havereportedon a false alarm at the Thresher grain elevator in Pocatello, ID. An overheating conveyor belt caused a burning smell and smoke that caused employees to report that there was a fire at the facility. Firefighters closed the local street and were considering evacuating the area over fear of a dust explosion when the cause was found. No injuries were reported.
