Fire at Cargill Plant in Dwight, ND

Firefighters able to keep the fire contained to the dryer

The Daily News Staffreportedon a fire in the dryer system of the Cargill corn milling facility in Dwight, ND.

When firefighters arrived at the plant the fire was spreading into the ductwork of the plant, which forced responders to remove some of the duct systems to keep the fire contained.

Cargill used steam suppression to battle the flames before firefighters arrived, and the facility is still open and running.
