The soybean processing plant project of Coshocton Grain Company is receiving a boost from federal funding, reports theCoshocton Tribune.
It was announced Tuesday that the United States Department of Agriculture has awarded a $2 million no interest loan to Ohio's Coshocton Grain Company for construction of a facility that will sell products to area livestock and biodiesel producers.
Funding is part of the USDA's Rural Development program. It's the second time Coshocton Grain has received a loan from the program, the first was in 2013 for a grain elevator in Illinois.
The facility expects to purchase grain from 900 local farmers in 22 Ohio counties.
