Cargill Buys Dakota Plains Agri Center

Cargillhas agreed to acquireAgrex, Inc.’sinterest in theDakota Plains Agri Center– ajoint venture between Agrex, Inc. and Cargill, located in South Dakota.

According toBridget Christenson, media relations director, Global Ag, Tech & Trading, Cargill will fully transition Dakota Plains into Cargill’s operations.

All existing Dakota Plainsgrain contractsremain in force and will be transitioned to Cargill.

Cargill will operate facilities at Beardsley and Napa with plans to sell the facilities in Parkston, Scotland and Tripp.

Dakota Plains Ag Center is a joint venture between Agrex Inc. and Cargill, which started in July 2013. The main facility is located six miles south of Tripp, SD.
