Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences will hold itsinaugural Ag Safety Expofrom 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 1, at the Agricultural Arena on the University Park campus, State College, PA. The event will feature farm safety and rescue demonstrations and displays with opportunity for hands-on participation.
The expo is free and open to the public.
Scheduled demonstrations include:
- Flowing Grain Hazard and Grain Bin Entrapment and Rescue Simulator Demonstration. This hands-on demonstration will illustrate how grain flows in storage structures and transport vehicles, the hazards of flowing grain, and rescue procedures for freeing a victim entrapped in grain
- 农药教育——代表潘ate’s Pesticide Education Program will be on hand to provide a display about Personal Protective Equipment and Pesticide Spill Cleanup
- Fire Extinguisher Simulator — Participants can learn some basics of the use of fire extinguishers and fight a digital fire using a laser-driven infrared portable extinguisher
