An explosion damaged equipment and sent multiple fire crews Thursday morning to a St. Joseph, MO, biofuels facility, reportsNews-Press Now.
The St. Joseph Fire Department was called shortly before 6 a.m. to ICM Biofuels, which operates an ethanol research and production facility.
No one was injured, but equipment sustained significant damage and will have to be dismantled. The explosion and amount of damage remains under investigation.
ICM officials called the situation a “small fire” and said the facility still was operating later in the day.
