A wrongful death lawsuit against Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) will be heard in Adams County, IL, where the incident leading to Kenny Pratt's death occurred, reportsNews Channel 20.
Pratt's widow, Terri, is suing ADM for negligence in thedeath of her husband, which happened in March 2016 when he was helping an ADM employee transfer diesel fuel from a storage tank to a fuel truck.
The suit says that a static spark ignited, and Pratt's clothes caught on fire. He was badly burned and transferred to a hospital in Springfield, where he died three weeks later.
