Firefighters and local farmers worked together to rescue a man from a grain silo in Halifax County, North Carolina, on Tuesday, reportsWRAL.
According to the Scotland Neck Fire Department, a farmer was performing a check on his equipment around 2 p.m. when he became stuck in the silo. Grains covered him up to his knees.
The farmer first called his sons for help, and the fire department was called around 7:30 p.m., once the farmer became waist-deep in the grains.
The farmer was able to walk out of the silo on his own and was transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
