Early Tuesday morning structural failure resulted in damage to a concrete grain silo at theLandusfacility in Yetter, IA.
No one was injured as a result of this incident. Crews were on-site working to clean up fallen debris and anticipate all railway blockages to be cleared by Tuesday evening.
As a result of the structural failure to the northwest-facing bin at the Yettergrain elevator, a large portion of the concrete wall fell to the ground while a train was being loaded on site around 4:30 a.m. No one was injured. There was no fire risk, and no first responders were needed.

Crews are currently on site cleaning up and Landus anticipates rail traffic will be able to resume by evening. Upon initial assessment there was no damage to railcars or rail track.
Only one of three grain receiving pits was impacted by the damage to this bin.
The Yetter team was preparing the site to be ready to receive customer grain again Wednesday morning, and the site will be deemed safe for customer traffic.
"The team is actively assessing next steps for the facility for the future," said Mary Harrington, communications and marketing leader at Landus, when asked for comment.
"We are planning to schedule a townhall for area farmers in a few weeks to share updates once we have our plan in place and finalize assessment of the damage."
