The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) will be hosting an online Grain Procurement Management for Importers course from September 13-24.
The two-week course will focus on the mechanics of grain merchandising and educate individuals responsible for purchasing grain.
Participants will hear from both academic and commodity industry professionals to guide them through the full complexity of the international grain markets.

“The benefit of offering this course online is that we are able to reach buyers and participants who wouldn’t have made the course otherwise in person," says Brian Sorenson, program manager at NCI. "We had 113 participants and sponsors of the course attend online last year, and the initial response for this year is strong again. It’s great to see.”
The Grain Procurement Management for Importers course is NCI’s first and longest-running course and has been offered every year since 1983. The course has transitioned since then to offer content intended for those working in bulk agricultural commodities such as wheat, corn, and soy.
