
A Vermont company has purchased an 131-year-old grain mill in St. Johnsbury, VT, that it plans to turn into an industrial hemp processing facility.
The deal for the E.T. & H.K. Ide property was finalized this week, theCaledonian Recordreported. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cousins Brandon McFarlane, CEO of Zion Growers, and Chief Operating Officer Travis Samuels told a group gathered to celebrate the deal on Monday that it took a team to get to the point of buying the property and it will take a team to get the hemp business operating.
