Weather and harvest update
The USDA’s November 1 bulletin reports a continued trend of mild, dry weather in large portions of the country, aiding in rapid advances in the harvesting of a variety of crops.
Minimal to no rain occurred in the East, high plains, upper Midwest and far West.
Warm temperatures accompanied the dry conditions from the Plains to the East, while large portions of the West coast saw cooler than average temperatures.
A large system of precipitation did move through parts of the southeastern plains and Mississippi valley, impacting fieldwork yet benefitting winter grain and cover crop development.

- 62% of winter wheat has emerged, 4 points behind last year. 28% is in good to excellent condition, 17 points behind last year
