Dr. Gregory P. Martin, extension poultry educator at Penn State University Extension
Dr. Mueez Ahmad, technical support veterinarian at Neogen Corporation
Dr. Mueez Ahmad is a technical support veterinarian for Neogen Corporation. He specializes in preventative health management, disease diagnosis and implements interventions to achieve high food safety standards. He has conducts biosecurity training and audits in an effort to help prevent disease outbreaks. Prior to joining Neogen, he served as director of technical services for Coleman Natural Poultry/Draper Valley Holdings. Dr. Ahmad received his DVM from the Agriculture University, Pakistan and an MS in veterinary medicine from Oregon State University.
Dr. Guillermo Zavala is the founder of Avian Health International. Dr Zavala holds a DVM and a specialty in poultry production from the University of Mexico; a Master of Science, a Master of Avian Medicine, and a PhD in medical microbiology from the University of Georgia. He has worked in broiler and breeding companies, vaccine companies, one diagnostic laboratory, two academic institutions and as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Population Health, University of Georgia. His field of research is in applied virology (CIAV, IBDV, tumor viruses, ILT, enteric viruses and fowl adenovirus). He has 32 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
