Farm Journal's Sonja Begemannreportedon an extension, requested by Bayer, of the European Commission review deadline. The company says the extension will give an appropriate amount of time for the deal to be evaluated. The closing of the deal is no longer expected to be in 2017, instead, the company estimates the deal will close in early 2018.
