Processors Hard to Find During First Hemp Harvest

Farmers concerned not enough facilities out there to meet need

Hemp

The first hemp harvest since legalization is under way, but one processor says farmers are having issues with contracts and selling their product.

According to a report atWPSD,Aerosource-H, Liberty, Kevil, KY, Chief Operating Officer Nathainel Pape says farmers have reached out to the company about issues with their contracts and selling their hemp.

Pape says the biggest concern he's hearing from the farmers they work with is having access to processors.

"There is a lot of fear that they're going to not have anybody to process their material," Pape toldWPSD。“,他们的材料是要变坏之前,they get it over too a crude state. There's anxiety about whether or not there are enough processors out there to meet the need."
