LSI Names Data Intelligence Engineer

John Makinde, PhD, has over 13 years of experience in the upstream, downstream oil and gas, energy, petrochemical, utilities and food industries

Logical Systems, LLC (LSI) welcomes John Makinde, PhD, as its newest Data Intelligence Engineer.

Makinde’s initial responsibilities will leverage his industrial data engineering passion and experience, using multiple platforms (OSIsoft PI, Inductive Automation Ignition, Wonderware, etc.) to support clients in various industries across the U.S.

Before joining LSI, Makinde worked at several US and international companies, including CSE-ICON, KBC Advanced Technologies, Cognizant, and Gazprom Neft. Makinde has extensive experience working in many industries (Oil & Gas, Utilities, Chemical, and Food & Beverage) and holds multiple advanced degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston and D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology in Moscow.

He also holds PI System Infrastructure Specialist and PI System Installation Specialist certifications from OSIsoft and his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Makinde’s an engineering professional with over 13 years of experience in the upstream, downstream oil and gas, energy, petrochemical, utilities, and food industries. In addition, he has extensive experience working with software for data analytics, real-time data management, project management, production forecasting, planning and scheduling.
