
Matthew Weaver with Capital Pressreportedon the plans of five Eastern Washington agriculture cooperatives to merge. Central Washington Grain Growers Inc., Union Warehouse Co., Odessa Union Warehouse Co-Op and Reardan Grain Growers Inc. will merge and then purchase Almira Farmers Warehouse Co.
By combining forces the co-ops hope to address aging infrastructure and cut costs. The merger with take place on April 1.
