Matthew Weaver with Capital Pressreportedon Whitgro Inc. merging with Northwest Grain Growers to give both companies more flexibility, stability and competitiveness to their members. This is part of a plan to update current facilities to handle 100-car shuttles at current locations. The update will cost $6 million to $8 million and be complete in 1 to 2 years. The combined co-ops will have over 2000 members.
