The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said in its monthly crop report that it was lowering its estimate 1.84 million tonnes to 98.6 million tonnes due to a decline in crush margins.
Importers are also delaying purchases until the 2021 harvest, when they expect the price of soybeans to fall. China's soybean imports and consumption in 2021/22 remain unchanged.
