Legacy Grain is upgrading its elevator in Stonington, IL, to increase rail loading capabilities, reportsWCIA.

A mile-long double-track is being installed that will hold up to 100 cars, up from its current 50. In addition, the facility in installing a new unloader underneath the concrete house and a new 600,000 bushel/hour leg that will elevate the corn up to the bulk weigher that loads into the cars. The system should take about four minutes to load each car.
