Mercaris, a market data and online trading startup that is encouraging the growth of organic and non-GMO agriculture in the U.S., has upgraded its flagship price reporting tool, the Mercaris Organic & Non-GMO Commodity Price Breakdown Report.
This new upgrade will enable customers to access more granular regional pricing data across the U.S. and Canada. The new reporting capability expands Mercaris’ existing pricing data coverage from four to seven regions in the U.S. and Canada – adding even more value and insight for decision-makers relying on timely, accurate, price information for major organic and non-GMO grain and oilseed markets.
The regional update encompasses volume-weighted average pricing data from The Mercaris Market Survey™, as well as results from Mercaris' exclusive online trading platform. The Survey is the most comprehensive and largest Organic and non-GMO data set available to date with participation from more than 50 first handler facilities, encompassing 25% of the total domestic Organic and non-GMO market. Updated regions include: Southeast, the West and East coasts of the U.S., the Corn Belt, High Plains, as well as Western and Eastern Canada. The enhanced regional pricing data is available to Mercaris customers via easy-to-use graphics and charts.
“随着有机和非转基因供应链仍在继续to become more sophisticated, we responded to the needs of the sector,” said Mercaris Founder and CEO, Kellee James. “This update will give customers more robust insight into organic pricing trends within their operational areas, to help them make the most informed decisions.
“Granular price information is particularly important in smaller or emerging agricultural markets, and yet that is often precisely where it’s the most difficult to find. We believe our new regional price reports help solve this problem.”
